Waldstein is one of Herend's oldest patterns, Japanese in origin and named for Baron Waldstein, who bought a set in 1842; it is hand painted in rich Imari-style color. The dessert plate is the versatile middle size, right for dessert, cake, appetizers, or a light lunch. Hand painted at the Herend manufactory in Hungary on hard-paste porcelain.
